Has it been that long...

Oh dear, I really need to step up the blog posting. Well, here is a recap of our month since I have been pitiful with updating my precious little blog:

- Our trip to VA went quite well, except for the flying part. We were able to see many people, visit some old haunts, and try out new places. Some of these "new places" included the Bass Pro Shops, Kangaroo Jac's, and the worlds best Arby's. We did, however, miss seeing one of our good friends, but are glad to hear they are doing better now.

- So, about the flight... Apparently we are destined to have at least one puker on each flight. Nice, eh? Also, Squeaker, who is notorious for his sleeping difficulties, decided that he would continue the trend by not sleeping on the flight. Well, unless you consider passing out from exhaustion sleeping. He woke at 5:30 on the day of our flight (east coast time) and we arrived in San Diego at 7:30 (west coast time). I just don't think that 2 year olds are meant to be awake for 17 hours straight, or whatever it worked out to be. He did pass out as we were descending into San Diego... but was quite mad that we woke him up as we got off the plan, gathered our luggage, installed the carseat, etc. Oh, and he hasn't slept past 6:30 since we got back, so, i am guessing we are just going to write off that lost nap/sleep time.

- Squeaker hasn't stopped eating in like 15 months. I am expecting him to either explode, roll away, or grow 20 inches any day now.

- Little Man is ALWAYS tired. I am thinking sleep apnea and hopefully we will have that resolved with the removal of his tonsils and adenoids next week. Wish us luck and a quick recovery. Although, I doubt he will complain about milkshakes and smoothies for a day or so. :)

- Work is good, but quite tiring some days. I can't even move or think when I get home. I don't know if I am just not used to working or if I am not good at energy conservation, but something needs to change. Oh, and looks like it is not going to make sense for me to work in the fall, so I should enjoy my 'alone' time while it lasts. ;)

- I just bought an external hard drive for my mac, and have been transferring pictures so that I have room to download more off my camera. My computer is so full, I can't even add 1 photo, hence the lack of pics on the blog. ;) Hope to get more up soon... including a picture of my huge-mongous belly.

- Belly update: It is a girl! No name yet, but we'll be working on it. She is quite active, which is inevitable, I suppose. She is the offspring of her parents. Also, she is measuring right on target with a due date of June 30th. The ultrasound also revealed a low lying placenta, so we get to get another sneak peak in about 10 weeks. I hope that the placenta moves up - I sure would love to avoid a c-section recovery again.

That is all for now.

Birthdays and traveling

When do birthdays lose thier luster? My wonderful husband is having a birthday today and I am so excited for him, but really not as excited as I would have been a few years ago. Now, it seems like birthdays are just one of those things that happen and we have to remember to stop and celebrate. Unless you are offspring, then it is an event! :)

We are in Virginia and have been for about 5 days now. It is cold but manageable. We got to see some snow flurries so that was nice. Daddy got to go into work for some facetime and we are able to visit with friends. It is nice to see Little Man back together with his buddies. I hope that we are able to see more people, so we are going to be busy. Right now we are just trying to get a sense of normalcy with naps and such cuz boy are we tired! Traveling and visiting wear you out! We are all having fun and can't wait to see grandma and grandpa again this weekend. I feel like we have been going and going so it is nice to have today to relax a bit so that we don't wear ourselves out and get sick before the flight home. Nothing worse than being sick and flying. Although, the flight here wasn't ideal, and we were not sick at that time. hummm.... anyhow, more later, i need to rest for a bit too.

Name Game

So, since we now know that the baby is a girl, we are going to start thinking of names. I had wanted to bring our baby name books on our flight to VA, but since we can't find them, I will have to see if I can get some at the library tomorrow. Anyhow, I have been reading this blog off and on and have just added it to my subscriptions. :) But, since we aren't flying any fancy airline, we won't have internet access on our flight. Now it is up to you and the local library. Without knowing, or maybe you do, my sons' names, help me think of a girl's name to go along with it. Here is a hint, we like unusual names, but ones that when you look at them, you can say them. My oldest son's name is an invented name. My second son's name is an Irish saint name. Anything goes, but as a disclaimer, I work with children so any name that I would associate with a past client, most definitely a "memorable" client, will not be considered. How is that for impossible!?!?!

Fire away!

Changing things up a bit

So, apparently we are changing things up a bit. This go round we are going to have a real, live baby... dundududah... girl. I honestly can't believe it. I was pretty convinced I was only able to have boys and raise boys. And now a girl to shake things up. Crazy! What in the world are we going to do with a girl? She had better like legos, star wars, super heros, and racecars. That's all I have to say. I am not sure we can fit anything else in the house. Or afford anything else. :) Anyway, we are pretty excited and now we get to start thinking about names. Yeah!

Almost there

So, we are all recovering. Squeaker is back to his normal self, I am full of snot, but it is manageable, and Daddy seems to have taken the mild route (maybe thanks to airborne?). Little Man is the only one who has yet to return to good form. We took him in on Tuesday to figure out what the heck was up with his cough. No wheezing, no congestion, no habit cough (he was coughing at night -- all night). So, the diagnosis: Sinus infection and ear infection. So, with one day down on the antibiotics, the coughing is much better. I think the coughing was just cuz he couldn't clear the back of his sinuses. Who knows. Oh, and large doses of saline in the nebulizer has also helped. ;) I was just imagining taking LM on the plane, coughing up a lung to the point where he throws up all over... and that would be on the first leg of the trip. Hopefully he is on the mend and we'll all be much happier in a week or so. (Gosh, feels like I said this just a week ago)

So, on other fronts... only 5 days until we find out the gender of baby #3. Woo Hoo. I am not sure how, but I am just so excited and can't believe how exciting it is, even the third time around. Apparently my heart has already expanded. Amazing stuff.

Also, we have had a great time looking at houses and have found a couple that we love. It is very exciting. I am glad that we have found homes that aren't in terrible neighborhoods and are actually bigger than our previous house. We were so afraid that we (meaning Daddy) were so afraid we'd be living in TJ in a cardboard box. Guess we are at least a step up from that, right? :)

Oh, and also, if you know what box we have all our baby name books it, would you please let me know. I would be so appreciative. I have looked in all the ones I thought they were in, but alas, no books. And I hate to get more, so not sure what to do aside from completely unpack. Which we can't do until we have a house and space to do so. Not gonna happen anytime soon. Ah... I love being in transition.
